The books of Ezra and Nehemiah are one in the Hebrew bible. In this video you can see the work done on the jacket covers within Panel 3 of the mural.
I put a scroll behind both books with some Hebrew lettering.
The top part is the Great Shema:
Hear O Israel, the Lord is our god, the Lord is One. Blessed be the name of the glory of His kingdom forever and ever.
Then I have the Hebrew words going vertically, left to right, as follows:
Holy
Worship
Joy
Obey

I currently estimate/track 130 hours into this project (including forming the campaign itself and related promotional work and updates).
Please consider making a contribution to help sponsor this endeavor and bring it to completion. Here is a link to do that!
I do intend at some point to revise my campaign for this project. I decided to bring Panel 3 to full completion in full color, and then use that as a better visual representation of the overall project. I now intend to do 15 total panels rather than the initial 9. This is based on discussion/input/further thought about how to best do this. I believe the four gospels should have a whole panel, rather than be contained within one panel.
This also opens up additional potential for reproduction of standalone sections in the future.
When Panel 3 is completed, I will set up individual sub-campaigns for the remaining 14 panels in hopes that the “bite sized” campaigns and closer estimation of hours/costs involved will inspire others who are excited about this project to possibly help fund a panel at a time. I will also be in more of a position to visit your congregation with a finished result to show and answer questions. Please be thinking about how you might participate in this project!
In the meantime, additional funding is truly appreciated, and upon the finished work of Panel 3 I will close down the initial campaign and set up the new campaigns. (Originally I had envisioned 3 separate phases, of the entire number of panels in each phase/stage of art; this will be slightly modified in the way I break it up.)
Thank you!
